Houston with Friends

I love my friends in CL. They bring me so much happiness.

This morning we met for our new book club. We're reading Walker Percy's The Moviegoer. We met to discuss just the first half, and right now the hope is to discuss the second hand in New Orleans. Maybe with a brief stop to Percy's home in Covington?

Afterwards Jay took me and Phil to Taft Street Coffee which is also home to Strange Land Books. It was a cool place. It's in the Montrose section of Houston, for those who know what that means. I had a great time. Seriously, I love hanging out with the type of people most would consider "freaks." Especially when those "freaks" have a penchant for discussing those things that really matter: The First Things.

If you're ever in Houston, you should stop by and check this place out. It's very post-modern.
