Dude, MaryCate Quiett is the bomb-dizzle. She offered these 4 Simple Rules for High Schoolers thinking about Dating and I think they are A+ good. In fact, I hear there are more rules, but she can't remember them . . . so if anyone has heard her give them before, please hook me up.
Seriuosly, these are probably good for anyone at any age . . . but High Schoolers following Christ need to listen up!
1. Dating is to find a spouse and I'm not ready to get married so I'm not lookin' for a spouse.
2. Even if he/she is the person you're supposed to marry in 10 years, that's 10 years from now and you and that person will not be the same people. I promise you'll love the person they become even more than the person they are right now. Just let them form into that person first.
3. You should love some one that you date, and love is totally giving of yourself. I don't know about you guys, but I have no idea how to completely serve God and completely love some one else too and then add in friends, sports, school, and family. God calls us to do so many others things in high school that can't be done with a boyfriend or girlfriend because thats just too much of a commitment.
4. Now I know there's some people who think its dumb to say that you should love some one that you date and that its just for fun, but if you're not dating them because you love them, then why are you dating them? To have some one to hold hands with, kiss, make out with? I think that would make the relationship just a physical relationship.
i want a picture please
